Xiaomi Inc has launch a successor to its A series smartphones, A3. This gadget has rear triple cameras of 48+8+2 MP. This is an ultimate camera smartphone optimize for photography. This smartphone comes with new-generation in-display fingerprint sensors. Incidentally, this trend-setter cameras are of Sony Corporation. This device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor which is one of the best processors in class with 11 Nano Meter lithography which indicates that it uses low power with higher power backup. It also uses Kryo 260 CPU and for graphics it has Adreno 610 GPU which supports high graphics intensive games. The battery of Mi A3 is truly a powerhouse and one of the best in the class since it has 4030 Million Ampere capacity. This is an Android One smartphone which ensures OS updates for 2 years and security updates for 3 years.
Android One program was a flagship initiative of Google Inc based on an input by Google CEO Sunder Pichai. This program intended to focus on developing countries viz. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc. to provide pure android experience at low cost and to attract them to mainstream Google services.
The Journey of Mi A3:
Indian brands like Karbonn, Spice, Intex were first to use Android One devices in India. Similarly, Xiaomi Inc launched their first Android One device, Mi A1 in 2017. In 2018, they launched Mi A2 and Mi A2 lite. As a matter of fact, the Mi A3 is the fourth device in Mi A series lineup. Moreover, Xiaomi Inc’s partnership with Google Inc has generated huge profits for the Chinese mobile giant.
Notably, Xiaomi Inc was founded in 2010 by Lei Jun, who had been the Chairman of Kingsoft Corp whose popular app WPS office is used in most android devices as Office Proprietary software and of UCWEB who owns one of the best admired and used mobile browser in the world, UC Browser, headquartered at Yingu Mansion, Beijing, China.
In the light of expansion to newer markets, they enter the Indian market in 2012 with Mi, Redmi series smartphones. Furthermore, they launched Poco series in 2018. Along with smartphones, today, the company has a wide range of products including Air Purifiers, Pollution Masks, Electric Scooter, Electric Trimmers, Backpacks. From time to time, other products including Trolley Bags, Selfie Sticks, Notebooks, Tablets, Televisions, Fitness Bands, Shoes, Sunglasses, Smart Cameras, Power banks, Drones etc. were made.
Most importantly, Xiaomi is using Qualcomm chipsets for their smartphones and has no compromise over quality of their products. In due time, they have appointed Manu Kumar Jain as CEO, Xiaomi India to aggressively market their operations in the Indian Subcontinent. Since, his stint as CEO is successful, creating 28.9% share in smartphone market segment. Also, Xiaomi has setup first smartphone vending machine, Mi Express Kiosk at Manyata Tech Park in Bengaluru in India. As can be seen, such novel ideas has made Xiaomi Inc a leader in smartphone industry in India and worldwide beating several of its rivals.
