With the launch of premium SUV models from the house of Tata and Mahindra, the Indian automobile industry is expected to shift its gear towards the top-notch automobile league.

Mahindra’s manly Alturas and Tata’s sublime Harrier are ready to revolutionise the Indian automobile market. Both the makers had tried to honour the Indian consumers’ increasing demand for the highest form of safety features. The models may pose great competition to German car manufacturers who have an unblemished record for safety.

Mahindra Alturas:

The 2.2 L automatic Diesel engine with 178 BHP @4000 RPM powers the Alturas with great power devoid of any lags. The Mercedes Benz made gear system has increased the luxury quotient of Alturas.

The Alturas host a 360 degree parking camera with an ascent and descent hill control. The vehicle manufacturer also provides roll over protection, brake assistance system, emergency stop warnings and nine air bags. The Alturas, in the Indian market, compete with Ford Endeavor and Toyota Fortuner.

Tata Harrier:

Tata’s premium SUV, Harrier is inspired by the design of Tata’s another poster boy Land Rover’s Discovery. Tata’s trademark design enhances Harrier’s look into a world class design.

With the acquisition of Land Rover Jaguar by Tata and SsangYong Motors by Mahindra, the Indian brands have transformed themselves into world class makers.
